"Add years to your life AND life to your years.”—Taoist saying.

Qigong is the ancient Chinese wellness practice that reduces stress and increases vitality and it is the energetic basis for tai chi. It is a moving meditation, a gentle but powerful form of exercise, is easy to do and it's fun! We combine breathing practices, stretching and strengthening exercises, flowing movement, and meditation. Appropriate for all levels and experience. Great for stress reduction and overall health and wellness.

I also teach Yang style 24 short form Tai Chi. "This gentle form of exercise can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life." --Harvard Medical School

Trager Approach

The Trager Approach is a somatic system of gentle rocking and lengthening of the client's body, aimed at facilitating deep relaxation, awareness, greater mobility, and flexibility. The rhythmic movements facilitate the release of unhealthy tension patterns in the body and mind. This work is called the 'Zen of bodywork'--it is deeply relaxing, feels great, and is very therapeutic. It is great to relieve a host of  issues such as: headaches, back pain, anxiety, muscle aches and pain, recovery from injury, increased postural awareness, peace of mind.

Thai Massage

Thai Yoga massage is an ancient bodywork system that combines acupressure, stimulation of energy lines and assisted yoga postures. Clients remain fully clothed during a treatment and are encouraged to relax and breathe deeply. I rock, and stretch the body in order to clear energy blockages and to relieve tension. I may use thumbs, elbows, palms and forearms to create movement and relieve tension. In this process, joints are opened, muscles are stretched and energy is balanced. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and enhanced physical and mental well being.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

CranioSacral (SM)

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, yet powerful, hands-on approach to bodywork. It focuses on the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum, and the underlying structures. The goal is to release tensions in the tissues that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord, thus providing an optimal working environment for the central nervous system. The technique is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, headaches, emotional trauma, and mental stress (among other things). This therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.

Chair Massage

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
